**Job Description**

Reporting to the Sales Manager, this position will be responsible for selling Pre-Need Funeral Insurance and Cemetery Property to the families we serve in our area. The senior industry is a growing market, expected to increase 50% over the next ten years. We offer a product that everyone must purchase at some point, and Pre-Planning offers individuals the satisfaction of knowing theyve fulfilled their responsibility and relieved that burden from their surviving family members.

A successful Pre-Need Counselor is a self-starter expected to achieve their quota target by selling pre-need arrangements and services. The PNC serves families in a professional, caring and timely manner. Follow-up and generation of referrals from client families are integral to success and to establish a strong service relationship with families. The PNC also develops relationships with the community.

**Responsibilities**

Lead Generation.

Hold self-accountable for prospecting a minimum of 1-2 hours per day.

Makes sales presentations to individuals as well as groups.

Be willing to work when & where families are available to meet with you (some evenings and weekends).

Responds to client inquiries in a timely, respectful, sensitive and professional manner.

Stays in touch with families to ensure satisfaction through listening, honest communication and genuine concern.

Assist with funeral services as needed.

Represents a continuous link from services provided at need, through aftercare, to providing services to protect families in the future.

Teamwork Collaborates with funeral directors, location managers and other members of the funeral home and/or cemetery staff, to provide seamless, high quality service.

Learn about our current products and how they can benefit our families (always learning and improving).

Provide regular reports to Sales Manager in regards to families visited, policies sold, and objections received.

Assist the company in corporate events and marketing opportunities as needed.

Networks and builds community and civic relationships.

Maintains and tracks activity levels to ensure productivity.

Candidate Profile

High School Diploma or equivalent.

**1-2 Years Of Customer Service Or Sales Experience Preferred.**

High spirited and drive for excellence.

Compassionate and patient, with a desire to help families achieve their future goals.

Capable of managing his time and delivering results.

Must enjoy phone solicitation and follow-up.

A commitment and drive for growth.

High level of integrity and dedication.

Comfortable with in-home sales as well as making group presentations (some nights and weekends).

Current Drivers License and reliable transporation.

It is not required that you currently have a license to sell insurance, but must be able to maintain license, once obtained, if required by the state.

Must be able to pass the Companys internal presentation certification within thirty days of hire.

**Basic Computer Skills Required.**

Customer service skills required.

Job Offer

This is an opportunity to start on the ground floor of an established company that expects to grow significantly over the next few years. The pay will be dependent on your success, but is capable of exceeding $70,000. This position is considered to be exempt in regards to FSLA and will be paid on a commission basis. The successful salesman will make most sales in the evenings and on weekends. The company will cover expenses associated with obtaining and maintaining all licenses and continuing education associated with performing job functions.
